Download our Christmas EP!!!

Hi everyone,

It’s been two years since the release of our self-titled first album and now we are getting ready to release our second!

Since the first album came out, we've been cooped up in rehearsal studios and crammed in each others’ living rooms, trying to mould the perfect follow up. The introduction of new drummer Dave Wade Brown in 2009 meant we had to find our musical feet again and really think about how we wanted it to sound.

We spent last year travelling to and from Halifax to work with producer Richard Mcnamara and now with all the other elements in place in 2011 we can finally release it. Yeehah! We consider this album as a fresh start. Whilst still retaining the poppy vibe of the first album, the second lends itself to something more melancholic and contemplative.

There will be a single early next year, and plenty more to follow after that, but in the mean time we’ve made you a Christmas present! We trotted off to Real World Studios in Bath last week and came back with three brand new tracks (separate to the album) to make up a special free download Christmas EP we have entitled "Birdsong", and it's out now!

To get it, all you have to do is head to our web site (link to www.thomastantrum.co.uk) or Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Thomas-Tantrum) and sign up to our mailing list.

Everyone who does that gets the EP as a free download. The first 50 people to sign up to the mailing list will also get sent the EP on CD, as well as a Christmas card signed by us all. The second 50 will be sent the signed Christmas card.

We hope you enjoy the tracks! Have a great Christmas and we’ll see you all soon

  2. So yeah, I got back home to Manchester from London with snowy delays and the pain-in-the-arsedness of all that, and there on the mat, cheering me right up, was a CD and a Christmas card from y'all.

Aces. What a lovely thing. And great tracks. Thank you.

looking forward to the new album, and I hope there will be a tour.

Good luck with 2011. Sounds like it's going to be a big un. x x x
